Pokemon The Origin

Remember Pokemon Red and Blue?

I have always remembered them since they were the first video game that I first finished. I was 5!

So this movie special just gives us (long time devoters/fans) a reminisce of the good ol’ times of Pokemon Red and Blue.

The video above is the full movie. Has english subtitles.

*P.S. I would want one for the Gold and Silver, Ruby and Sapphire, Diamond and Pearl & Black and White. For all generations of Pokemon fans to reminisce their childhood.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona Series Evaluated

Hi There!

If you’re wondering what Shin Megami Tensei: Persona is. A spinoff of the Megami Tensei Franchise revolving around demons and humans. In this game about high school students in a stereotypical japanese setting wherein they must fight for life using their powers called Persona.

I’ll be telling you all about my experience in the Persona series.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona was first released in the Playstation back in 1996 first named as Megami Ibunroku Persona in Japan and Revelations: Persona in North America. The North American version of this game was criticized for removing snow queen quest and making Mark black. It was just absurd.

The game tells about a group of students who played the Persona game and it made them Persona users and I don’t know much about this game.

It was shunned by Playstation fans.

In 2009, ATLUS remaked this game for the PSP with a name of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona. It has all the features of the japanese PSOne title now with CGI Cutscenes (dubbed in North America version).

I haven’t played this game yet and a lot of reviews have been telling me that it was a bad game even by Playstation standards. (See picture below)

You explore with a first person viewpoint and they said it’s so bad. Also random battles trigger almost every 4 steps even in the overworld one. And the battle places your team in grids.

This makes me not play this game but I still will play this, since I like Persona 2.

The music above is Dream of a Butterfly, opening music in the PSP Version of this game.

Next is,

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2!

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2 was first called Persona 2 in the PlayStation back in 1999. In 2011 and 2012, it added a Shin Megami Tensei name when it was ported to the PSP. Persona 2 is divided into two games, Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment. I only played the former. But I’m looking forward to playing the latter. The PSP Version of Innocent Sin added the Climax Theater wherein you can play sidequest made by the creators of Persona themselves. The PSP Version of Eternal Punishment added a new story about Tatsuya, the protagonist in Innocent Sin. Unfortunately Eternal Punishment is a japanese PSP title and it will never cross america. But the PSN version is there but no Tatsuya story.

Innocent Sin is about Tatsuya Suou, a silent guy, whose school’s emblem has been cursed and that every rumor in their city of Sumaru comes true.

Eternal Punishment is about Maya Amano, a writer of the magazine COOLEST, who is investigating about the doings of Joker.

Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment are different dimensions. The happenings of Innocent Sin never happened in Eternal Punishment.

Many reviews said that they loved the story of both games but the visuals still made the liftings.

Third,

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3, has 2 iterations, FES and Portable.

Shin Megami Tensei was released in 2007 in Playstation 2. In 2008, the FES version of Persona 3 was released for the PS2. It continued the story from the ending of Persona 3 now with Aigis as main lead. In 2010, the Portable version was released for the PSP, it introduces a female route and gameplay of Persona 4.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 is about high schools students whose schools turns into a labyrinth called Tartarus at a time called the Dark Hour. They use evokers to summon their Persona.

I have played the portable version only and that was one of the best PSP games I’d ever played!

Reviews said that they love Persona 3 and it was the beginning of the Persona series reaching cloud nine. But they didn’t liked the gameplay of the game, because they hate Mitsuru’s obsession with Marin Karin. In the portable version, players were given free will with the characters and Mitsuru but they removed the anime scenes and made it like a visual novel.

Lastly,

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 is the latest game in the Persona Series excluding Persona 4 Arena. It was released in PS2 back in 2008. In 2012, a Playstation Vita version was released, with new cutscenes, costumes, attacks, personas, and new epilogues called Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4: Golden.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 is about high school students that are battling inside a TV in Midnight called Midnight Channel. Whoever is in the TV every rainy day, will die! unless saved by them. Inside the Midnight Channel, this group of students will be finding the truth.

I played the PS2 version of this game and it was lovely!

Reviews said that it is the best Persona game yet. It has minor issues but It is awesome nonetheless.

My Persona 3 Portable Experience

I had a blast playing Persona 3 Portable and still completing my first walkthrough. I enjoyed every bit of it and the social links and full moon bosses are wonderful. Now, I’ll be telling you my experience playing Persona 3 Portable.

I loved the cast of Persona 3, they’re lovable and you will feel attached to them easily.

Here, You can listen to the song that plays whenever you’re on Gekkoukan High (this videogame school) at the first semester. It’s really catchy.

The S.E.E.S. (Special Extracurricular Execution Squad)

The S.E.E.S. (Special Extracurricular Execution Squad)

The photo above is your team of Persona users, they have a goal and that is to climb this tower. (Photo below)

Tartarus, a labyrinth full of shawdows

Tartarus, a labyrinth full of shadows

And Inside this labyrinth is this. (Photo Below)

The entrance before shadows attack you

The entrance before shadows attack you

In entering tartarus you can only have 3 other members of S.E.E.S. join you. My choices are always Yukari Takeba, Mitsuru Kirijo and Aigis.

Fight!! :D

Fight!! :D

And Let’s meet Shuji Ikutsuki. (Photo below)

the one who said that our goal is to vanquish the 12 full moon bosses. That obviously appear during the full moon. Only then can we vanish the dark hour and tartarus itself. And live as normal student of Gekkoukan High. Well except for Koromaru and Ken.

The one who said that our goal is to vanquish the 12 full moon bosses. That obviously appear during the full moon. Only then can we vanish the dark hour and tartarus itself. And live as normal student of Gekkoukan High. Well, except for Koromaru and Ken.

The full moon bosses are listed below: (Photos Below)

First Full Moon Operation:

Just normal shadows

Just normal shadows

My Experience: They were pretty easy since this is only a tutorial, but this is still a full moon boss nonetheless.

My Team: Only Me.

Second Full Moon Operation:

First Big Boss.

First Big Boss.

My Experience: This full moon boss isn’t that much a trouble. Only the time limit is the problem since you know, Junpei.

My Team: Yukari, Junpei and I.

Third Full Moon Operation:

Paradigm Shift is annoying!

Paradigm Shift is annoying!

My Experience: They are pretty easy to beat unless you use Fuuka Yamagishi always since they Paradigm Shift most of the time which blocks your attacks.

My Team: Junpei, Akihiko and I.

Fourth Full Moon Operation:

Nothing to be scared of.

Nothing to be scared of.

My Experience: Just strike him a lot and a lot. It isn’t much of a worry.

My Team: Mitsuru, Akihiko, Yukari, and I.

And another…

A joke boss.

A joke boss.

My Experience: Even though you’ll have to battle two full moon bosses in one night, it still isn’t difficult.

My Team: Mitsuru, Akihiko, Yukari, and I.

Fifth Full Moon Operation:

And this is when it gets tougher

And this is when it gets tougher

My Experience: I never knew they can split and what’s worse, you can’t kill the other one unless they’re both killed. They use diarama so often which annoys me. It is a good thing I had Aigis in my team.

My Team: Mitsuru, Yukari, Aigis, and I.

Sixth Full Moon Operation:

2nd hardest full moon boss.

2nd hardest full moon boss.

My Experience: I hated how Yukari and Aigis are weak against it. But Still, I fight using my fave team. Mitsuru handled this smoothly. Aigis and Yukari were on guard mode.

My Team: Mitsuru, Yukari, Aigis, and I.

Seventh Full Moon Operation:

The hardest battle

The hardest battle

My Experience: I hate it how strength has to be defeated first before fortune and fortune has this wheel of how we will be damaged. It is so irritating when it points on the red one.

My Team: Mitsuru, Yukari, Aigis, and I.

Eight and Final Full Moon Operation:

And the Strega comes out and wanting to spoil our plans.

Oh NO!

Oh NO!

My Experience: Fighting them was so easy, they didn’t even put a scratch on us.

My Team: Mitsuru, Yukari, Aigis and I.

The last full moon boss.

The last full moon boss.

My Experience: It was pretty easy. It’s akasha arts was just the problem but all out attack are what makes it easier.

My Team: Mitsuru, Yukari, Aigis, And I.

And We can rejoice now!! We have defeated all the 12 full moon bosses!! :D

Or Not?

Or Not?

This was all Ikutsuki’s Scheme!! :(

This Is Not Over?

This Is Not Over?

So he said that by defeating the 12 full moon bosses is the way to reawaken Nyx and The fall would be near and All of us will be one of the LOST!!

So Much For The Short Happy Ending…

So it’s a good thing Ikutsuki fell from Tartarus. Bwahahaha!!

Another Transfer Student.

Another Transfer Student.

Enough with those “The Fall”. Since we have another transfer student.

Aigis Hates Ryoji

Aigis Hates Ryoji

Aigis seem to really hate Ryoji and it was because Ryoji is Death! The one that Aigis sealed in another boy’s body 10 years ago.

NYX!!

NYX!!

Ryoji explained to us all about Tartarus and The Fall and NYX. He said that he was the appriser, he ushers Nyx into this world. And the only way to make The Fall dissapear is to kill Ryoji or Nyx. Ryoji said that if he will be killed all the memories of the Full moon operation everything will be forgotten. But it is the most possible way since he said that Nyx is impossible to be kill.

But I’m a kind hearted one, so I chose Ryoji to live. And now I have only 10 days until I battle Nyx.

Last (Real) Full Moon Operation:

Wish Me Luck!

It was long but pretty easy!

My Experience: I never knew Nyx would be this easy. So yeah it took me 30 minutes to defeat her. And that wasn’t a challenging battle. Maybe I prepared a lot. I skip the Takaya and Jin battle bits. Since I’m kinda tired.

My Team: Mitsuru, Yukari, Aigis, and I.

Social Links

Bond Formed!

Bond Formed!

Social Links are important in Persona 3.

In order for your Personas to be at their highest starting level, you need to have a strong bond with a person with that Arcana.

As of now, I have forged a bond that cannot be broken with Kenji (Magician), Yuko (Strength), Kazushi (Chariot), Maya Amano (Hermit), S.E.E.S. (Fool), Nyx Annihilation Team (Judgement), and Pharos (Death).

This social links are still underway: Aigis (Aeon), Yukari (Lovers), Fuuka (Priestess), Mitsuru (Empress), Mamoru (Star), President Tanaka (Devil), Akinari (Sun), Hitedoshi (Emperor), Chihiro (Justice), Maiko (Hanged Man), and Keisuke (Fortune).

I haven’t found a bond with the following: Tower, Hierophant, Temperance.

Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment are the second game in this spin-off. I played the former but the latter, not.

The above-mentioned have been released on the PS1 also.

Persona 3 is the third. It had 2 remakes, Persona 3 FES, a director’s cut version and Persona 3 Portable released on the PSP.

Persona 4, the latest in the spin-off. Has a remake, Persona 4 Golden and a iteration, Persona 4 Arena.

Poptropica Is A Must Play Web Game

Blue Bird

I haven’t write in my blog for months!! Because I have some addiction to Pokemon, Final Fantasy, and POPTROPICA!

You might questioning why my name in Poptropica.com is Blue Bird but I’m dressed as a mouse. Well, the name is randomized and I bought the costume because I seemed to like it since I’m born in the Year of the RAT!

Poptropica is a very addicting game. It lets you explore lots of islands where you can be a super hero, spy, “Survivor” contestant, time traveler, and a lot more.

In different islands, you have different missions. In completing a island mission you receive a medallion.

I only have 6 medals out of the 31 or more islands. The islands I have completed are:

  • Early Poptropica
  • Sharktooth Island
  • Super Power Island
  • Reality TV Island
  • Time Tangled Island
  • 24-Carrot Island

Early poptropica

An example of a Medallion, In Early Poptropica

With winning medallions you earn yourself some credits. Back when I finished Early Poptropica, Sharktooth Island and 24-Carrot Island, I received 100 credits, but the latter one had me only 50. Which is a shame! </3

But the environment and experience is not a shame!! Poptropica boast a ton of adventure!

End Of The World?!

The Mayan Calendar

December 21, 2012 is the end of the Mayan Calendar. And it was also stated by some people that on that day, doomsday will come.

But We all know that the end cannot be predicted by us mere peoples, Only GOD knows our TADHANA (that’s fate in Filipino)

Nostradamus Prediction In Relation With The Youtube Hit, Oppa Gangnam Style

Then we have this, Nostradamus, a famous person who predicts, predicted that when Gangnam Style reaches a billion, that end will come. But really..?? You can’t be that good at predictions.

The Holy Bible

Matthew 24:36 “No one knows when that day or hour will come —not the angels in heaven, not the Son, but only the Father.”

So please calm down. and relax and play Nintendo Games!!! :D

Pacman Lost, Donaire Wins

The knockout of the people’s champ Manny “Pacman” Pacquaio made most Filipinos crying and sobbing and angry. The Round 6 knockout on Pacquiao done by Marquez was cried and angered in almost all parts of the Philippine Archipelago. Because for me also, Pacquiao’s defeat was shocking and really not anticipated. He hasn’t lost a battle since I was born (1996).

Then there’s this instagram photos of Justin Bieber wherein Manny Pacquiao is doing the “lean” with M.J. and Simba waking him up. Justin Bieber sure has a naughty attitude. Well, his/her fame has been taken by the One Direction. He has to do something to make her popular.

And this… I’m not a Donaire fan. I actually hated him because of his boastfulness. But winning back the Filipino pride makes me cry.
